The queens are fighting!
Celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, has been doing a tonne of press for his new memoir and in the process he's been spilling as much tea as he can to make headlines to sell the book. This time around, he's calling out Andy Cohen for allegedly stealing one of his ideas for a television show.
During an interview with Dish Nation (shoutout to Porsha Williams) Perez revealed he reached out to Andy to pitch him an idea for a reality show about gay dads and claimed he was self aware enough to know that it may be unpopular for him to be attached as talent but was still willing to work as a producer on the show. He explained:
“I personally have been hurt by Andy Cohen recently. For seven years now I have been trying to get a show on television about gay dads. I personally reached out to Andy Cohen, over there at Bravo, and I emailed him and I said ‘listen, I am passionate about doing a show about gay dads and I am aware enough to know that some networks may not want me attached as talent, so I am happy to work on this show that I’m happy about just as a producer.’"
Well, it turns out the WWHL host shut down his pitch saying it wasn't a "right fit" for Bravo, only for Perez to later find out that Andy is now working on his own reality show about gay dads, without Perez's involvement. He revealed:
"He emailed me back last year and he said ‘oh, it’s not a right fit for Bravo’ well, what do I find out just a little bit ago, Andy Cohen is now working on a gay dads show and he does not want me involved either as talent or a producer and I feel personally slighted and angry.”
Perez is probably one of the most hated people on this planet, right next to Osama Bin Laden and Danielle Staub, and although I don't totally dislike him, he's not my favorite person either. However, this tea is shady as fuck and I am not surprised by Andy's sneaky ways, he wouldn't have gotten this far in the Housewives game if he wasn't a snake and he's a Gemini, so what should we expect?
