Kate Chastain Leaving Below Deck After Six Seasons
How could Kate do this to us? Question mark.
Even though OG Housewives are leaving their franchises left and right, I assumed the one person with job security on the network would be Kate Chastain, since she is the queen of Below Deck, however, after six years on television she's finally throwing in the towel.
Following the second part of the season seven reunion, Kate took to Instagram to announce her departure from the show, the only way Kate knows how, by parodying Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's announcement when they left the royal family. Even though it's devastating Kate will no longer be on the show, at least she's going out in an entertaining way.
Although I'm totally shocked, this exit doesn't come as a massive surprise, as Kate has been hinting at her "next steps" for the last season now after she clashed with the majority of the crew. Obviously she came to this decision all on her own, because there's no way Bravo fired their star pupil.
This there even a point with continuing the show after this? Kate was the HBIC of the series and her hilarious one-liners, resting bitch and overall cunty vibe is the reason why I tune in week after week, so I'm not sure who they can replace her with to bring us the same energy, but I guess we'll see.
I'm hurt, I'm shocked and I'm angry that Kate did this to us but let's all pray that she finds her way into another Bravo show. The Real Housewives of New York City maybe?
