The Vanderpump Rules Season 8 Trailer Is Dramatic AF
The SURvers are back with a ton of new faces.
Rumors and spoilers of Vanderpump Rules' eighth season have been splashed across the blogs for months, and now we finally have a first look at what we can expect when the show returns in January.
The trailer opens with Lisa Vanderpump talking about the drama between the OG cast members, which is cut with Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval arguing while their theme song plays dramatically in the background. Goosebumps people, goosebumps.
They also give the same treatment to Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney and Kristen Doute, after two-thirds of the WeHo Witches (allegedly) turned on Kristen. Two of the newbies are seen fighting over cheating allegations, which takes me right back to season one.
The producers then threw in a bunch of other clips of everybody yelling, but it all happened too fast for me to determine what the fuck was actually happening. The editing for this trailer was dramatic AF, however, their trailer traditional format where they show everyone having fun, introduce any newbies and end with everyone fighting would've given us way more insight on what to expect.
All we know from this sneak peek is that Jax and Sandoval are fighting, Kristen and Stassi are fighting and we have a bunch of new people... which is everything we already know. They could've at least TRIED to give us some new information. We did see snippets of James Kennedy yelling at his girlfriend, Ariana Madix crying, Brittany Cartwright having a breakdown in her wedding dress and Scheana Shay warning the newbies to be careful.
Season 8 looks to be way more organic because all the OGs can stop pretending to work at SUR. All the old cast members can fight amongst themselves in their $2 million homes in the Valley, while all the newbies take over SUR and TomTom and give us the same dysfunctional, cheating energy we got back in season one before everyone decided to grow up.
The new cast members, Brett Caprioni, Charli Burnett, Danica Dow, Dayna Kathan, and Max Boyens, are all hot AF and the producers definitely hit the jackpot with the aesthetically pleasing bunch.
Even though we didn't see any of this in the trailer, next season will feature Jax & Brittany's Kentucky wedding, a cast trip to Miami, Lala Kent's boyfriend/ sugar daddy finally appearing on camera, TomKat's Vegas wedding after they discovered they weren't legally married, Stassi's engagement and a fuck tonne of fighting.
