Tinsley Mortimer Leaving RHONY After Season 12
It's official. Allegedly.
Filming for season 12 of The Real Housewives of New York City is currently underway and after Tinsley Mortimer ditched a cast taping to fly to Chicago with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Scott Kluth rumors started swirling she had quit the show to a start a new life with him in the Windy City. Now, sources are confirming this tea is accurate... kind of.
According to Us Weekly, Tinsley is set to finish filming the rest of the season, however, after season 12 wraps Mugshot Mortimer is apparently going to officially leave the franchise to move to Chicago with Scott.
The streets are also saying the Coupon King is getting ready to pop the question any day now, which would definitely give Tinz a motive to throw her TV career away to be with him. Sources told the outlet:
“She is moving for love. This is a very happy time in her life right now and everyone is rooting for her and Scott. They have addressed all their issues and no longer want to live without each other. She is very, very happy!”
At least Tinsley has finally found her happy ending. The couple rekindled their love in Toronto recently and were also spotted at Disneyland together.
Sources also spoke to Hollywood Life, who confirmed Tinsley's Housewives career will be over once she moves to Chicago following season 12, but said she will still be holding an apple for the upcoming season. The insiders shared:
“Scott and Tinsley are back together and they have never been happier…Tinsley is still filming and she is a Housewife for Season 12. Scott lives in Chicago and Tinsley will eventually be moving to Chicago to marry Scott which means beyond season 12 it will be impossible for her to be a New York Housewife.”
The source also pointed out how Mortimer has missed loads of cast events lately, including the group's annual trip to the Berkshires, however, they noted Tinsley is a professional and would never walk away from her job midseason. The insider continued:
“Tinsley is professional and would never just walk away from a job. She was not at the recent trip to The Berkshires and there have been other things she hasn’t been at, but not everyone attends everything when it comes to filming.”
Last season the women accused Tinsley of lying about her relationship with the Coupon King, so you can bet this will be a massive storyline on the upcoming season. I can already see Dorinda Medley drunkenly yelling at the eyelash obsessed Housewife.
When this news first dropped I was mad with Tinsley because I didn't want her to throw her career away for a man (again), however, she's finally found love and if moving to Chicago will make her happy, then so be it.
Also, her Upper East Side cast members are always assholes to her for no reason, so she'll be happier living with Scott in Chicago than she will be fighting with a bunch of menopausal bitches in New York.
I am a Tinsley fan and I'm always rooting for Dale's daughter in everything that happens, so I'll miss her on the show, but at least she'll be able to wrap up her storyline on the show and move onto a new chapter of her life. Season 12 will mark Tinsley's FOURTH season on the show, which is longer than what a lot of other Housewives have lasted.
