Emily Simpson Reacts To The World Hating Her Husband

This season of The Real Housewives of Orange County has not been a good one for Emily Simpson whose husband has been named one of the worst husbands in Housewives history. Shane Simpson is an asshole, I know it, you know it and I'm sure Emily knows it too and now the lawyer by day turned party planner by night is reacting to social media (and the world) hating her husband.
In a new interview with TooFab, Emily revealed she hasn't been watching the show this year except for clips on social media because it's too hard, however, she revealed Shane does watch the show. Out of everyone involved in this situation, why would Shane be the one wanting to tune in to see himself look like an asshole? Emily told the outlet:
"I honestly haven't even really watched any of the full episodes. That's how difficult it is for me. I obviously know what's going on in the episodes just because Shane watches them, my sister watches them. I'm on social media, so I see clips and I see people talking about it, but it almost makes me nauseous to watch it. It's not easy. So sometimes it's just easier for me to just separate myself from it completely. It's hard, it really is. Even last year when Shane and I weren't really having issues like we are this year. I have a hard time just watching myself in general. Like, I can't stand my voice, I can't stand the faces I make. I guess I'm probably over-critical of myself. But this year, it was just much more personal because it's such a bird's-eye view into our life and marriage, and sometimes, you just don't wanna relive that. You're like, 'Been there, done that! It was bad then; I don't need to watch it again.'"
She also shared that filming was emotionally and physically draining for her this season (no shit) and revealed after filming wrapped, she decided to take the summer off and go travelling with her family which allowed her and her little bitch of a husband to fix their marriage and spend time together. She also spoke about how the show is great therapy and made Shane more self-aware:
"I think sometimes, maybe the best therapy is actually watching yourself back because I really feel like maybe Shane was not self-aware. And to him, he's like, 'Well, I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't call you names. I didn't yell at you.' But I don't think he grasped how dismissive or cold he could be until he was forced to watch himself. He's really put effort into being completely different, and I have to give him credit for that. Definitely."
The lawyer turned party planned turned Housewife also dished about *that* confessional on the show where Shane admitted to not missing Emily or his family while he was away "studying". While she stated it didn't look good, she also defended him by saying he's sarcastic with a dry personality.
Ummm. There's being sarcastic and then there's being a cunt.
Emily also spoke about her new perspective on defending her husband to the fans, stating she's the one that knows the other sides to him, and said she understands where the viewers are coming from in their hatred for Shane. She explained:
"This season, I just realized I can't argue with everyone, I can't fight with everyone. At the end of the day, it's a show, and they only show a very small percentage of time in my home. No one's there 24/7. If I was watching the show and I only saw what was on the screen, I would think, 'He's a dick! She needs to leave him!' So I understand where people are coming from. Like, I get it. I understand why they have the opinions that they do, and I think they should be allowed to express those 'cause that's what makes it a good show. It ignites lots of really deep feelings in people."
Emily, Emily, Emily. She needs a divorce like a fat kid needs cake and this article still shows that she's headed in the other direction. We were rooting for you Emily, we were all rooting for you but I guess she's happy with being married to a gerbil fuck for the rest of her life. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if she doesn't file for divorce while the season is airing, I don't see much hope for her Housewives career.
