Garcelle Beauvais & Sutton Stracke Are Joining RHOBH
FRESH BLOOD.
It's a little out of the ordinary for Bravo to confirm who will be joining a Housewives show before the trailer drops, however, they've gone against their own rules and announced Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke are filming for season ten of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Garcelle is making history as the first African-American Housewife to join the Beverly Hills franchise which is exciting and I think it will be hilarious to see a black woman bring some spice to the show and put everybody in their place. Let's hope she starts with Teddi. Garcelle is an actress, even though I haven't seen her in anything, and back in 2010 she exposed her then-husband Michael Nilon‘s affair in an email to his colleagues. I like her already. In a statement to Bravo she said:
“I am excited and proud to be joining the cast of such a wildly popular and beloved show like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As a working actor who has been in the industry for some time, it’s exhilarating to have the opportunity to delve into a new chapter in the entertainment spectrum. As the first African American Housewife in the Beverly Hills franchise, I am honored and humbled by this awesome opportunity to exemplify the fact that Black Girl Magic lives and thrives in every zip code!”
“Already being intimately familiar with the spotlight of Hollywood, my journey of successes and trials has already been chronicled and shared with my many loyal supporters around the world. The continual encouragement, support and yes, even at times, criticism, have helped make me the dynamic woman I am today. I’m excited to share the many ongoing daily surprises, laughs and joys of being a working mother in today’s crazy world. The hustle is R-E-A-L! No games, all heart and a little dash of fashion-filled sass is what you’ll get when you step into my sphere…and I wouldn’t have it any other way!”
The other new addition Sutton, who is friends with Rinna, couldn't be more different than Garcelle so I think they'll both bring something special to the table. She also released her own statement:
“I am thrilled and honored to be joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As a mother to three children who is also deeply committed to my efforts in philanthropy, my life is a balancing act. There is a lot going on in the best way possible and I strive to pursue all of my passions to the fullest. I am excited to share my true loves of art and fashion design, and open the doors to my world. I am looking forward to this ride and where this journey takes me. Fun times ahead for this Southern Belle in Southern California!”
The new women are joining returning cast members Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Teddi Mellencamp and Denise Richards. Both women look like fun but let's hope they give us drama, shade, and entertainment because the show really can't get any worse. They still should've brought Brandi back... but that's none of my business.
Someone who isn't returning to the show is Camille Grammer. After the OG and "friend of" alienated herself from the entire cast last season she was let go from the show, but that didn't stop her from reacting to the news.
