Shahs Star Lilly Ghalichi’s Husband Files For Divorce After 2 Years of Marriage
It's over.
You may or may not remember her, but Lilly Ghalichi appeared on seasons two and three of Shahs Of Sunset before becoming an Instagram beauty influencer and now she's making headlines after her husband filed for divorce. Tragic.
The ex-Bravo employee's husband Dara Mir is seeking a divorce from his wife after two years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. They got married in a lavish Persian ceremony in May 2017 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, which Lilly, of course, posted on her Youtube channel, as any good influencer does.
The two also share a daughter together, so the custody situation should be... fun?
This news of the divorce comes only a month after she posted cute photos of the pair together on a vacation in Greece which just proves, social media is full of shit and just because someone's smiling in a selfie, doesn't mean they're happy. Life lessons people.
Randomly, rumors started swirling in February of this year that Lilly and her husband may have split after she deleted every trace of him from her Instagram account, however, the reality star turned influencer told Page Six the rumors were false:
“The rumors being said are exactly that — rumors. Dara and I care for each other very much. He personally is not a public person, and is uncomfortable with my social media. Being in the public eye has its pros and cons, and, unfortunately, having hurtful rumors spread about you on the internet is a con."
Lilly did, however, share her relationship struggles with the outlet at the time, which probably led to her husband filing for divorce,:
“It is difficult for me, because I have always shared my life through my social media pages — it’s my business. I love my family and my new role as a mother. I would love to share that joy with the world. To be with a partner that wants me to be as conservative, private and inactive as possible on social media can be challenging at times.”
Can you imagine a couple breaking up over posting photos on Instagram? Who knows if that's the real reason but this is the world we live in...
