Anthony Scaramucci’s Wife Could Be Joining RHONY As Apart Of Cast Shakeup

Another shakeup?

Like clockwork, as the latest season of The Real Housewives of New York City is coming to an end, there's already rumours circulating about what the cast will look like next season and if the reports are true it could be a lot different. Page Six is reporting that Anthony Scaramucci’s wife, Deidre, is in talks to join the show next season. Sources told the outlet:

“Scaramucci’s wife is doing the ‘Housewives.’ They’ve been wanting new blood and have been striking out with new cast members. She’s been meeting with Bravo," another insider said: "it’s reality-TV gold. I’d love to have her on.”

Her husband Anthony appeared on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, so apparently Deidre has his "full support" if this Housewives deal works out. These two have been on everything from Dr Phil to the cover of Us Weekly, so obviously Anthony wants his wife on this reality show.

The Scaramucci's have a scandalous backstory which could make for amazing reality TV. Deirdre filed for divorce from Anthony in 2017 while she was nine months pregnant, due to his role as White House communications director, however, she ultimately ended up staying with him. It seems their breakup lasted as long as his time in the White House.

Deirdre joining the show could be apart of a bigger shakeup amongst the cast. The report stated Tinsley Mortimer is being fired ahead of next season, as well as "friend of" Barbara Kavovit who didn't fit into the cast. Sources told the outlet Tinsley was being let go after she's failed to make an impact during her three years on the show:

“No one knows her and it’s like starting all over every season . . . How many seasons can they sit around talking about her dating or not dating [sometimes-boyfriend] Scott [Kluth]?”

Luann de Lesseps' role is also up in the air as she's asking for more money to return, which the producers are unsure about paying her. Lu allegedly wants to double her salary, however, the same sources say her storyline is getting old.

Although Page Six is normally close to being accurate when it comes to New York Housewives news, I don't think Lu or Tinsley will be going anywhere and although Deidre may be a good fit for the franchise, if she doesn't know anyone on the show then there's no real connection to the cast.

Can't we just have Jill Zarin and Dina Lohan?
