Vicki Gunvalson Sued By 82-Year-Old Woman For Fraud
Icky Vicki strikes again!
After years of her costars accusing her of being a fraud, now one of her clients is even jumping aboard the bandwagon and is taking the OG of the OC to court.
According to The Blast, Joan Lile an ex-client of Vicki Gunvalson's is suing her and her company Coto Insurance for fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract after she (allegedly) lied to her when selling an insurance package.
In 1996, Joan claims she and her husband Robert Lile spoke to Vicki after they were looking for a policy that if one spouse died, all future medical premiums for the surviving spouse would be covered on the policy. This was important to the husband because he was older than Joan and wanted to know she would be taken care of after he died.
Joan alleges Vicki sold them a policy promising it included the special provision of “Lifetime Waiver of All Premiums for a Surviving Spouse," and for over 20 years Joan paid increasing premiums, however, after Robert died in 2017, she tried to exercise the benefit they were promised, only to be denied by the insurance company and still being charged the premiums.
So basically, Vicki promised her a package but when Joan wanted to exercise her right to use the specific benefit she was denied and still has to pay the premiums. Maybe this is why you shouldn't buy insurance from someone who was apart of a cancer scheme? She is suing for unspecified damages.
