Why Frank Catania Was Disbarred
How did this fly under the radar?
In a sneak peek for The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiere it was revealed Danielle Staub was being messy and talking about Dolores Catania's ex-husband being disbarred from being an attorney. This happened in 2017 but none of us knew, so which legal websites was Danielle scrolling through to get this tea? I didn't even know he was a lawyer, I thought he just worked at a gym or something.
After doing some digging it appears Frank Catania was disbarred because he stole clients money, apparently moving $15,000 from a client’s escrow account into own his gym, Cattino Fitness Corp, and paid $10,000 for legal fees from another account. According to the judge's ruling:
“[He will] be disbarred for the knowing misappropriation of client and escrow funds” which is described as “conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.”
He allegedly had to pay the money back but didn't because it forgot the money existed. All these legal words are confusing the fuck out of me so I'm not 100% sure what he did but I guess he took money he wasn't supposed to. The biggest revelation to come out of this is that he's a lawyer? Wow. Of course I'm #TeamDolores, but I'm just reporting the news.
