Mark Salling Found Dead After Apparent Suicide

This whole story is just so sad.

Mark Salling was found hanging from a tree at a baseball field near his home in Los Angeles and his body was discovered by one of his family members who previously reported him missing.

The Glee star's suicide comes as he pleaded guilty to child pornography charges and reached a plea deal that he had previously agreed to spend between 4-7 years in prison. His ex-girlfriend notified the police about the child porn on his laptop, after he showed her.

This wasn't Mark's first attempt to end his life, we previously reported that he tried to slit his wrists before pleading guilty but freaked out when he saw the sight of his own blood.

Obviously his crimes were horrible but he is still a human being and you have to be in a pretty bad place to take your own life. My heart goes out to his friends and family who are in mourning at this time. His family issued the statement:

“Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.”
