KUWTK Recap: Diamonds
Another KUWTK episode, another round of recycled storylines. This is the second time that we’ve visited Kris’ death plans, Kourtney’s terrible work ethic and Scott getting mad that his baby mama has a new boyfriend. I felt like I was watching an old episode on repeat! Is it Groundhog day and no one warned me?
We started off with Kris having lunch with The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick and the two talked about OJ getting out of prison and Kris admitted that she was in denial about it. I could watch a whole episode of these two talking about OJ, tbh. A fan came over to pose for a photo with a ring that had her grandma’s ashes in it. Wow. Can you guess what Kris made a whole storyline out of? The momager spent the whole episode investigating how to make a diamond ring out of her ashes. It’s a good idea, but it might give Kim some PTSD to her robbery days. Plus imagine the thirsty people that would do anything to steal a ring made out of Kris Jenner! Holy fuck!
In the end Kris decided not to turn into a ring after she dies because it was too confusing of a process. What was confusing? You die, they burn you and put you into a stone. Simple. I feel like all this show ever does is create a crazy situation, make one of the girls stress over it for an entire episode and then decide not to go through with it. Will they EVER actually go through with their crazy plans one day?
While Kris was obsessing over what stone she wanted her ashes made into the girls talked to Kourtney about her lack of ambiton. Since the Kardashians became famous Kourtney has done a good job of being in the right place at the right time and making money off her sister’s hard work while she sat at home and fed her kids vegan snacks. All of sudden Kourt decided that she wanted to do her own individual project which changed from an interior design coffee table book, flipping a house in Nantucket, creating her own accessories line and producing her own TV show. What the fuck? After debating her sloppy work ethic with her family, Kourt decided to talk to an interior designer who gave her possible ideas for what she could maybe do? Nothing was set in stone and Kourtney didn’t actually produce anything so Kim, Khloe and Kris were right - again.
The final repeated storyline of this episode was Kourtney’s beef with Scott. Kris took Lord Disick to Williams Sonoma for unknown reasons and thought he was acting weird. Scott was wearing dressing gowns and jumping into beds, in other words, being his normal douchebag self. I don't really know why Kris thought he was being weird but she ran back and told Kourtney who started yelling at her for not taking her to the fair when she was little. That literally happened.
Scott then called Kourtney and flipped out when she admitted that she had a new boyfriend, which he already knew from a few episodes ago, so I don’t get the shock. The mother of three went over to his Calabasas mansion and they fought about nothing and everything all at the same time. At the end of the day Scott realised that he needs to get over Kourtney and be a proper father to his kids which is good for the whole family. Also he's dating barely legal Sofia Richie so how can he be upset?
On an unrelated note, Khloe’s BFF Malika hinted that she might be a lesbian which doesn’t surprise me in the slighest considering their Hamptons makeout session. I would not be surprised if Kris Jenner and the gang created a three part Kardashian event for the coming out of Malika, stranger things have happened!
